About Michal

Michal Barak is a professional musician who graduated Rimon school of Jazz & Contemporary music in Israel and released her first record (LP) at the age of 16. Having been born in Israel and spending years abroad as a child, she is fluent in both Hebrew and English.
 
"As a parent of two preschoolers, I wanted to play off the class experiences at home and play an active role in my children’s education. As the children often came home mumbling partial songs I was challenged grasping what they had learned, missing the opportunity to engage and share their experience. I wanted to create a multi sensory program that was fun, innovative and educational for kids while giving parents the opportunities and tools to take an active part in their kid’s life. Thus ShirART was born."
